Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager at SeedFi, you will not only close deals—you will join in shaping the future of SeedFi’s growth. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding our client base, driving revenue growth, and forging strategic partnerships. You will also play a key role in driving SeedFi’s market presence and collaborate with other teams to ensure that business development initiatives align with the company’s objectives

Key Responsibilities

  • Market expansion & strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to grow SeedFi’s customer base and market presence.
  • Business opportunity identification: Research and identify new clients, markets, and strategic partnerships aligned with company objectives.
  • Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with B2B and B2C clients, financial institutions, potential partners, and industry influencers to drive growth.
  • Sales & partnership execution: Lead the end-to-end sales and partnership process, from prospecting and pitching to negotiating and closing deals, ensuring revenue targets are achieved.
  • Marketing collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to develop materials, campaigns, and strategies that enhance business development efforts.
  • Market intelligence: Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to uncover opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Brand representation: Represent SeedFi at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and generate new business leads.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or any related field; an MBA is a plus.
  • 4-5 years experience in business development or strategic partnerships within the fintech industry.
  • Strong understanding of fintech products, services, and market dynamics.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and forming strategic alliances.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills to engage stakeholders and close high-value deals.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a proactive, results-driven mindset.
  • Leadership experience and a collaborative approach to driving cross-functional initiatives.

As SeedFi’s Brand Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and executing various online and offline brand strategies that align with our mission. As part of the brands & marketing team, the ideal candidate will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across the business to shape and refine SeedFi’s brand positioning while managing challenges that impact brand perception and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the brand lifecycle: Oversee the development, execution, and optimisation of branding initiatives to strengthen SeedFi’s market presence.
  • Market research: Analyse market trends, competitor landscape, and customer demographics to refine the brand strategy and understand the target audience.
  • Brand positioning: Understand SeedFi’s unique selling proposition and ensure it aligns with business objectives and market needs.
  • Brand messaging development: Craft compelling brand messaging, including taglines, key narratives, and communication guidelines.
  • Visual identity creation: Collaborate with designers to maintain brand aesthetics, including logos, colour palettes, and typography, ensuring a cohesive visual identity.
  • Brand story development: Create a compelling narrative that connects with the target audience and effectively conveys SeedFi’s values.
  • Brand consistency management: Ensure all marketing materials, communications, and customer interactions align with the established brand guidelines.
  • Brand strategy implementation: Develop and execute plans to implement the brand strategy across various marketing channels.
  • Make data-driven decisions: Leverage insights to hone brand performance, analyse trends, and inform strategic direction.
  • Collaborate effectively: Work with cross-functional teams—Technology, Product, Sales, Credit Risk, and Customer Support—to ensure brand consistency and alignment with business goals.
  • Track and improve performance: Monitor brand performance metrics, analyse data, and refine strategies for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • A brand strategist with at least 4 years of experience, preferably in fintech or financial services.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Strategy, Digital Marketing or any related field
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of brand development, marketing principles, and market dynamics in Nigeria’s fintech landscape.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with a strong ability to translate consumer insights into impactful brand strategies.
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills to craft compelling brand narratives.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset, ensuring brand differentiation and innovation.
